Will he be my Valentine?

Don’t worry it’s fiction

He looked so lovely standing there waiting for the bus
When it turned up fifteen minutes late,…. he didn’t swear or cuss
Must be very fit, as I couldn’t fail to note
Tho’ the day was extra cold, he didn’t wear a coat

His muscles all were rippling, he’d a well developed chest
I could see them all quite clearly, through the holes in his vest
I know that I’m in love in love with him, I hope he feels the same
Yes it happened very quick, I don’t even know his name

I hope the stop that he alights is somewhere near his house
And that he isn’t spoken for, I’d like him for my spouse
I will get off when he does, find out where he’s dwelling
Take photos with my camera, without ever telling

I am not a stalker, I don’t mean to alarm
It’s just that I’ll be watching him….. to keep him from all harm!

I have always written poetry but when my husband died suddenly I used it as a kind of therapy. I don’t usually share these unless I feel they will help someone in distress. The ones I share are mostly humorous intended to bring a smile in what I feel can be a very lonely world... I have written four booklets and now a Corona chronicles which is just twelve poems writ while I am in jail...oh sorry I meant lockdown. Am on my way for a second booklet.. Trying to make folk smile and take a minutes release from these difficult times helps me forget my sight problems..
