Words against terror after another atrocity

Words against terror after another atrocity

Too many lives have been lost
What price religion but a human cost
We dare speak out or speak our mind
For fear of damage to humankind

Where now will terror strike our land
And cause distress by someone’s hand
Where will the evil raise its head
How many more will end up dead

The lives of many have crossed a path
Devised by someone else’s wrath
They come together hand in glove
To banish hate to express love

The price of freedom the loss of life
Someone’s daughter, husband, wife
An uncle father a cherished niece
What will it take to give us peace

No more we say don’t do it here
Don’t spread your words, your hate and fear
How many times can we say “no more”
Before you end this bloody war.
