Ye it is me

Yes, it is Me!

You probably will not recognise me
What I start going out again
I may be a bit older
But I am the same

If I see you out and about
I will want to stop and chat
My hair may be untidy
So I may be wearing a hat

I can stop and talk
But we cannot shake hands
I will stand away from you
But you do understand

As lockdown begins to ease
I may start to venture afar
Start to walk around a bit
Or even go by car.

Things are going to be a bit different
For each and everyone
We may have to wear a mask
But it so, it has to be done

No one has seen me
For quite a long while
So if you do see me
Please give me a smile

I know things are different
Let’s go with the flow
and if we all work together
This time will soon go

Please remember if we do meet soon
I am still the same old me
Wanting to get back to normal
I hope you all agree
