2) How do I get a Silvercard+

To get a Silvercard+ you have to be over 50 years of age. All you have to do is to set up a Silversurfers account at www.silversurfers.com and tell us what sort of deals you would like to hear about.
Once you have done this you will have immediate access to our partner discounts.  If you have requested a physical Silvercard+ and completed the address details when registering your Silvercard+ will be despatched to you within 7-10 working days.

3) Help – I cannot sign-in to the website

Please check that you are using the correct login details. You can log in with your email or username. If you have forgotten your password just go to www.silversurfers.com/silvercard and click onto the “Forgot password” link.

4) When will my card arrive?

The Silvercard+ takes 7 – 10 working days from sign up to be despatched. All Silvercard+ cards are sent via Royal Mail.
To track the status of your card from order to arrival, login to your account at www.silversurfers.com/silvercard  and go to the “My Profile/Silvercard+ Membership” area to see its progress.
We will send you an email when your card has been despatched.

5) Can I start accessing partner discounts before my Silvercard+ had arrived?

Yes, as soon as you have set up a Silvercard+ account you will be able to access our partner discounts. All you have to do is login, go to the “Silvercard+ Discounts” page, select the deal you want and click on the “Get the Deal” button.
All online discounts will be available to you immediately. A few of our discounts are available ‘in-store’ and you will need your card to benefit from those discounts.

6) Can I apply for a card?

You must be 50 or over to be eligible for a Silvercard+. There is no upper age limit.

7) How do I find out about discounts?

All Silvercard+ discounts can be viewed on the Silvercard+ area on Silversurfers.com.
To access your discounts, login to your account at www.silversurfers.com/silvercard then you’ll be able to view all discounts and offers.
You can log in with your username or email address and if you have forgotten your password we will email it to you when you click on the link below the login.
Once you have signed into your account, click on the ‘Silvercard+ Discounts’ and click the “Get the deal” link, next to the discount you wish to access.
Please read the discount details in full as this will contain important information about how you get the discount.
We will also contact you by email from time to time to let you know about new discounts and deals.

8) How do I access my Silvercard+ account?

All you need to do is sign in with your username or email address and the password that you supplied when you registered for the Silvercard+.
Please note that if you entered your email address incorrectly when you ordered your card, you must still use this email address. You will be able to amend this, once you have signed in, by clicking on My Profile.

9) Do I need to sign the Silvercard+

You do not need to sign your Silvercard+.  Your Silvercard+ discounts are automatically active as soon as you register at Silversurfers.com.

10) Will my Silvercard+ expire?

Your Silvercard+ will not expire.  If your Silvercard+ has an expiry date on it the card will still be valid and that expiry date is not used.

11) If my card is lost or stolen am I responsible for fraudulent use

If your card as been lost or stolen the other person will only be able to access current online discount codes if they login to your Silvercard+ account. To do that they would need to know your email address and password.
Should your card be used fraudulently, you will not be held responsible.

12) What is my Silvercard+ number?

You can see your card number as soon as you have ordered your card in the “Silvercard+Membership” area of the website.
If you need to use your card number prior to receiving your Silvercard+ you can login to your account at www.silversurfers.com/silvercard and go to the “Silvercard+ Membership” area within “My Profile” where you will be able to see your card number.

13) Help – I have forgotten my password

We can send you a link to your password by email. Just go to the Silvercard+ area at www.silversurfers.com/silvercard and click on the “forgotten password” link below the Silvercard+ login at www.silversurfers.com/silvercard

14) How do I change my Silvercard+ account details

You can manage your account online. You can change your account details by logging into your Silvercard+ account at www.silversurfers.com/silvercard and going to the “My Cards” area.

15) Can my Silvercard+ be sent to a non UK address?

Unfortunately we do not send cards to overseas addresses. Card postage is an automated process, and all Silvercard+ cards are dispatched via Royal Mail 2nd class.

16) Help – I have lost my Silvercard+

If you have lost your Silvercard+, you can purchase a replacement card.
Your replacement card will cost £10.
All you need to do is to email me at [email protected]

You will receive your new Silvercard+ within 10 working days.
If you have forgotten your log in details, please use the ‘Forgot your Password’ function on the log-in page of the website at www.silversurfers.com/silvercard

17) Help – my Silvercard+ has been stolen

If your Silvercard+ has been stolen, you are entitled to a free replacement, as long as you have reported the theft to the police and have received a crime reference number.
Please email me at [email protected] with your crime reference number, along with your name, email address and home address so that we can order your replacement card.
If you do not have a valid crime reference number, you can purchase a replacement card for £10. All you need to do is to email me at [email protected]
You will receive your new Silvercard+ within 10 working days.

18) What do I do if I am not happy with goods or services provided by a Silvercard+ partner?

If you have received goods or services that are damaged or defective or not as described, the first course of action would be for you to contact our Silvercard+ partner directly with your complaint. Should you be unhappy with their response, we will step in. Just email me with copies of your correspondence at [email protected] and we will take it from there.
However, if you are just generally dissatisfied, unfortunately there is no recourse we can take.

19) Does my Silvercard+ include purchase protection or refund protection?

The Silvercard+ is not a credit/debit or bank card. The card entitles you to discounts and cannot be used for payments. As such we do not offer any form of purchase protection.
The credit or debit card you use to complete your purchase may provide you with purchase or refund protection. Please check with your card provider directly.

20) Can I use my Silvercard+ when I am abroad?

If you are travelling and want to use your card with a UK retailer you can do so online.
The Silvercard+ is a UK discount card at present and for use with UK retailers and service providers.

21) How do I cancel my Silvercard+?

If you wish to cancel your Silvercard+ please contact us at [email protected] and we will confirm the cancellation of your Silvercard+ account via email.  We will also ensure you are removed from any Silvercard+ newsletter mailings.
