Yes .. I have to admit I have read all three much earlier in the year! Much to my teenage children's horror! Now their friends are reading the first Fifty Shades of Grey and asking if they can borrow my book? Yes there is a lot of hype, but if you don't read them yourself you won't know what all the fuss is about!

my 21 year old daughter gave it to me to read and said it was "Really good" Oh dear god, what have I done to this child? It is badly written, repetitive, dull beyond belief and I can't believe after all my encouragement to read decent literature, she ends up with this drivel. I managed to wade through the first third of the first book and decided that life is definitely too damn short to bother with it any more. I can live without reading another "Oh my" or lip biting scene. 😥 😥 😥

I agree, managed to read first one but couldn't face the other two. Very badly written.

well I have read all three and I found the story lines very soppy and endearing, with regards to the sex, I learnt about things I have never heard off.

Yes I spent a weekend reading all three books (well it was raining!) personally I got bored with it and ended up skipping the sex bits cos they were so ...well to be honest boring to read! (not that I spend the day wearing nipple clamps or anything) . Im afraid the book didnt do anything for me it was just like a Mills and Boon book with more sex 😡

Hello Catpaws .... I have to say I share your views ... was on holiday this summer with 6 young adult girls, who shared all three books in the Trilogy ... they became addicted to the books! The sun was so hot it melted the glue on the spines of the books and the pages all fell out! Best thing for them!!

Cant get away from the fact that E.L. James is a very successful author now though.... 😕

I have to agree with you ... had the potential to be a great story line, not terribly well read, and very repetitive kinky sex! 😳

I have read all three books. They actually have a pretty good storyline and, although I am not a prude, there is far too much kinky sex which is totally unnecessary. 😕

There is a new sound track called 50 Shades of Grey ... maybe you could listen to that instead whilst on the computer! 🙂

Not yet, but I want to! Think it will be on my holiday reading list ... mainly out of curiosity to see if the hype is justified .. Has anyone read the other two in the Trilogy yet? Not sue to just buy one or get all three?
