It's Summer - Billy Fury Orchestra instrumental two songs.

Summer Place - Percy Faith and Orchestra

Summer set - Acker Bilk.

Summer In The City -Lovin'Spoonful Anyone got any more .

Ah, Autumn...

Forever Autumn by Justin Hayward is a great song from my teenage years.
California Dreamin' - The Mamas and Papas. (All the leaves are brown/and the sky is grey...) though it's actually about winter.

Doesn't seem to be so many odes to Autumn in the music world..?

Hi AnnaC56, great song from Justin Hahward from the War of the Worlds album, also great songs from the Mamas and Papas, John
Philips wrote some great songs but it was Denny Docherty(spelt right?)
who sang nearly all the songs, but aided by fantastic harmonies by the
girls. I was born in 1948, and grew up in the 60s,I don't think that any
other decade since has produced better music. just my opinion,we will
be soon be hearing Christmas songs for the next few get
ready, well if you think of any more memorable songs, get writing,
Take care, best wishes, Terry.

I don't know how shop-workers put up with Christmas songs all day. All respect to them.

Just thought; September by Earth. Wind and Fire.

I wasn't born until mid 60s but love the decade. 60s, 70s and 80s for me. Never thought I would stop following the charts but it happened!

Best wishes, Anna

Ha, my very first comment on anything silver surfers. I love "Summertime Blues" by T.Rex but I've been a Marc Bolan fan before he shortened the band's name. I also like "Summertime", a George Gershwin song, I believe but I like Janis Joplin's version. A few more summer songs that appeal to me are "In the Summertime" by Mungo Jerry, "Summer Holiday" by Cliff Richards, "Summer of 69" by Bryan Adams. I also like listening to Vivaldi's four seasons which has "Summer" as part of it.

Ooh some great memories there soulman. I remember those cassette types, and funnily enough I recently bought an 02 registered Volvo and guess what - the radio is a radio cassette player! I thought, "Oh no! I've got to buy a load of music on tape!" But I plumped for the mobile with a play list!

Still got some of those cassette kicking around the house! My most favourite was Chronologie by Jean Michel Jarre.

Anyway, getting to those tracks. Purely from memory (and a quick cheat), I can add a couple more.

Firstly, there's that wonderful track by the Isley Brothers, Summer Breeze. Oh wow.

And then I had one on my mind, I could hear the track but would the title or artist come, would it heck. So I played it in my mind a little longer, and suddenly the artist came to mind. From there, it was a quick cheat to see what the track was called. It's Bobby Goldsboro and Summer. And while I was cheating, I noticed he recorded another favourite of mine - Honey.

Oh wow - just going to go and download Summer Breeze and Honey.

Thanks for the memory trip.
