A new beginning
Watch this postI've been living alone in a town I really don't like and have no children or close family and no friends, for over 30yrs.
I consciously became unemployed 6yrs ago as I found the kind of work I did was really not for me. Thought I'd made a good friend a few years ago through walking my dog but suddenly whenever I suggested going out for lunch or to do something else, there was always an excuse for not going and then she became a grandmother so eventually everything changed. I was invited to a few of her family events but was always the one on my own and crowds make me very uncomfortable. We no longer keep in touch other than a Christmas card.
For a few years, I've wanted to sell my house and move somewhere away from this town, a new start. My next move will be my last so I want it to be the right home in the right place. With Covid it's been difficult getting out to go and visit areas that I like the look of.
For now, I've just got to wait it out. I think next year, 2022 will be my year and who knows, maybe I'll eventually meet new friends.

Well I am sure you will meet lots of people here.
What did you do before you retired?
It’s pretty rough with the travel restrictions, don’t I know it!
I have a camper van and love roaming but that’s a no no currently so it’s decorating followed by gardening for me and then when they take the brakes off, my 4 legged partner and I will be out of those starting gates like racehorses
but if you do, drive your campervan down to Southampton and pick me
up (ha ha) I don't care where we go. Seriously I also love to travel but
more long haul Africa mostly will be glad when next year comes around
as hope to go of to Cape Town in March or April. So in the meantime,
take care and stay safe, best wishes, Terry.
