Amazon Kindles

I have a very old Kindle and am thinking of updating.

Can anyone recommend which Kindle is best?

I have a Kindle from about 3 years ago but I use it less and less and have gone back to buying actual books on Amazon but mostly 2nd hand ones.

I also buy a lot of books from Charity shops, but just thought if I had an updated Kindle I may use it more. Also, I could 'borrow' library books, via the Kindle if I had a more modern one.
I think I may be talking myself out of buying one and just carry on as normal.

My old kindle gave up the ghost early last year and I bought a new one, touch screen with a front light. I would not be without it. It cost about £70 I think and well worth it for me. I understand that the Kindle Paper White is usually recommended as the best available but it’s about twice the price.
