Anything within the scope of decency and a modest education.
Watch this postHello everyone.
My name is Jack Fosdyke and I live in the rural backwaters of Ireland, far removed from life's rushing stream.
I function using one of those "Just as good as brains" that take a little longer to adjust to new ideas, compared to the regulation three pounders issued to nearly everyone else.
My appearance is that of a sprightly old man who has just stepped out of a Victorian music hall and wonders what he should do next....I do have a knowledge of this world but age and experience tells me that there is nought I can do to right it's wrongs.
I therefore tend to ignore life's darker underbelly and concentrate upon it's brighter, more amusing aspect. If there are any like minded persons among you with a similar outlook perhaps they would care to reply.
Thanking you all.

Amusing, refreshing and thought prevoking..Ireland is beautiful as is Dumfries and Galloway but unfortunately life's harsh realities are hard to escape because we can't escape our own minds until we develop an attitude like yours.
I completely agree with you although I don’t live anywhere near you. I live in California. I don’t own a TV because there is just too much negativity coming out of it, and I am focusing on something completely different.
I truly know that even though the world is full of darkness, my Heavenly Father has a plan, and I trust him. That allows me to enjoy the little I have, and to spend time caring for others who have less than I do.
I volunteer at a care home for people who have Dementia. Their families have brought them to this home and most never come back to visit, so I spend time hugging them and visiting with them because they are valuable. They are very precious people. They plant flowers with me, and we go on walks, and they laugh. They brighten my day.
I hope you have joy in your life Captain Jack.
Blessings,
Debbie
