Blogging

Hi I notice that there is not a specific forum on blogging. I have just started a blog myself - https://johnretired.blogspot.co.uk/ and as a newbie to blogging I would welcome chatting to more experienced bloggers for advice and tips or get feedback on how to improve and extend one's blog.

Good morning , usually I blog my poems .

FRIEND OR FOE

Who's this i see before me , friend or foe , as none would speak thy name , could anyone imagine how hard life has become , I am a mere mortal , flesh and blood , who has desires , I have tried hard to save what dignity I have left in this life , my soul weeps , of lost hopes and dreams , I am 2 sides of a coin , none which can be saved .

As I come to terms of who I am , I beg for your patience , and kindness, as I fight to become one , my heart is breaking to so many pieces , please forgive me , if i chose to be alone, my only joy is to know you understand , is to live my remaining days in peace , you will always will be in my heart , I've been lost for so long ,but now I'm home and free .

Is it you or your wife who has M.E. Lionel ? I was diagnosed with it about 4 years ago, and because of that and other problems I can no longer work

Just browsing various posts and noticed yours Lionel. I hope you wife is feeling ok lately, ideally improving.
My son 44 has had M.E. and bowel problems since his divorce and the continuous stress his x wife has caused, still is. He lives in an x council house which is in great need of money spending on it, he has no choice and has to work full time, although he did manage to get one day less a year ago, work via occupational health have helped him a little with a rise and fall desk and couple of other things.
He loves his garden, growing veg etc., and the fresh air can help but basically he does not have a life, and there are periods where he is knocked flat, we worry ourselves sick, it would not be so bad if he had a partner, someone else in his life who could be there for him. But you know there are not many women now who want to know a man once they discover he does not own a nice house in a nice area..
He has a great attitude and works in mental health, he meditates a lot and is a living, breathing random act of kindness!!
How did you and your wife get on with the writing?

Hi Jonzo, I only found this site today so was having a dip in and find my way around. I have a blog, I don't claim to be an expert in any way. I started 2 and a half years ago with good intentions but found although i had an idea I think i've over complicated it. I write about my vinyl record collection purchased during my teenagr years of the 70's and young adulthood of the 80's. Now I'm 55 I look back with happiness. When i get my act together i do enjoy writing. I choose to take my own pictures rather than add any from the web, and make a video showing my records playing. The only down side is to watch out if using images or pictures due to copyright. Your blog is straight forward writing which is very interesting. You might in a small way have given me some encouragement to rethink and rearrange it and get back to it during the coming winter nights. https://6134dave.wordpress.com/
