Burning pasta

I have just discovered that dried spaghetti is flammable. I cooked tea last night making a yummy pasta sauce, popped the spaghetti into a pan of boiling water. Instead of waiting until all of the pasta fitted into the pan, I turned around to do something else. On turning back the stove was ablaze with lighted pasta. I smothered the flames with a tea towel and laughed.

I can honestly say I have burned pasta cooked in a pan of water. I will never live this down when the family get wind of this 😂

Well a good tip for you, Happychops! I learned yesterday that brown sauce smeared on burnt food in pans etc soon makes the pans like new again - have yet to try this, but I shall bear it in mind for future reference 🙂

I have used mayonnaise to clean bitumen from our step ladders. It worked really well,
It’s amazing what you find out on the Internet.
I cleaned my pan using soda crystals and vinegar, but will try brown sauce if it were to happen again.
Perhaps people could post their best tips and we could all try them.

Crikey, Happychops! It makes you wonder what these sauces are doing to our insides 🙂
