Canada, Ontario, Toronto

Hi, Just joined SS. I am 52. Not from UK or Europe. Is there anyone here who is from North America? I work full time, am busy mostly, but sometimes feel very lonely.

Found out recently that my spouse of three decades does not love me, has cheated on me several times. We live together, but don't share a bed.

I can't believe how my life panned out. I am smart and quite independent. However, I am not an extrovert. Anyone here who is similarly married yet single, looking for company for a hurt soul, all over again?

Hi, I just registered - bored afternoon - found the site - your post made me join.

I'm wearing the other shoe to you! I've been married for 46 years - hated my wife for 30, stayed for the kids. Never cheated, although I'm sure my wife thinks I do/have done.

Separate beds for the last 20 years. I am so lonely and desperate for physical companionship. Not a 'leg over' just some friendship from the opposite sex and some closeness.

Here I am driveling on about me when it's you that I came to reply to. I'm coming round to the opinion of Pente - why not leave - have some fun for me!

Hey, we could run away together LOL

Take care, hope this helps, write soon

Hey!!! Sorry your blue day seems so darkening. I’m not one for cheaters and as for me I would leave ( have before) regardless of age. Your already living alone with him so why not live alone without him?
But here’s the real scoop if you stay or go you have to jump on your own band wagon he will either join you or walk away because he doesn’t get it or want to see you happy. Either way you are better off for it. Don’t let him run your happiness. You run it. Keep yourself busy and maybe take love out of the equation and enjoy your new roommate. Ohhhhhh You Are So Worth It!!!! Mantra- Today I’m going to have fun for me.

Hi. I replied to your reply to my post, and then I found this. So sorry you got your heart broken. having been cheated on myself, I know how it can hurt. And the hurt brings so many things. Anger, fear, loneliness, depression, anxiety, etc. We expect our lives to either never change or change for the better, and even though we prepare for the worst, we still go into denial when it happens. And it gets harder to bounce back when we're older. The idea of meeting someone new is scary. At our age we wanted someone to share memories with, not build new ones. My current situation is a little different. I'm in a relationship with someone I love, but her disability limits the things we can do. I work Monday to Friday so I only see her on weekends as we live separately. Living together would bring financial and other problems. It's not the relationship I was hoping for when we started ten years ago. I can't cheat on her, but I wish things were different. I offer you my online friendship, and hope you find some way out of your current situation that brings you happiness.
