Greetings everyone from the West coast of Scotland from RubyMoon. Bear with me as I learn the ropes plz ☺ It would be fun to make a few new friends & forming new connections is always a positive challenge.

I'm within a 5 minute walk from one stretch of beach & a 5 minute bus trip to another...beautiful sea views on my doorstep. Small town with plenty to offer however, due to current situation there's limited access to most of our local activities etc. Reading, crosswords, quizzes, scrabble, photography, walking, antigue/vintage shops, home cooking, DIY, gardening, cinema & selective TV programs.

Always up for a coffee & blether in pleasant surroundings... thankfully cafés open ( at the moment). I'm looking forward to chatting & discovering if I can actually work out how to use this new brand toy ahhum I mean tablet. Will check back here later. Off to stretch my legs & get some fresh air before teatime 🤔fresh air with drop of rain of course.

Bye for now.

Hello RubyMoon.I live above the river mouth in the far corner[the North East of England] and we do actually get some pretty amazing moons above the sea here. My mum came from Accrington ,went to college in Cambridge during the war,met my Dad there, and I was born in Haslingden. I know rural Lancashire-a well kept secret which is lovely. I moved here 5 years ago to be near my daughter as she had the children and all my life went on hold. When I finally got some time to get out and join things and started to meet some really nice people Covid hit and that was that. Apart from my daughter's young friends [she's home educating so I was heavily involved in that] I don't really know a soul here-apart from the odd 'Hello, how are you?]. I have a few really wonderful friends I speak to a lot on the phone, but I'm now quite low on my daughter's list of priorities-understandably and I need some sort of life of my own even if it is online atm. I am an artist. I studied painting in London Newcastle and Leeds and worked as a jobbing artist for years. I'm interested in the world,in culture-lots of things. My comfort blanket has always been reading . I love music, current affairs, my work being with my grandchildren and talking to my friends among other things-there's so much to be interested in. All the best from the cold North. Oh and good food-which reminds me.....

Hello RubyMoon, I seem to have some of the same interests as you and also live near the sea but I am in West Lancashire. I am 76, disabled and have shielded since March. I am normally upbeat with a wicked sense of humour but lately have had somewhat of a downer so would love to have someone to chat to. Interested?
