Cowboy Builders - been ripped off!
Watch this postBeen ripped off by builders come handy men, can't stop crying as I must have had mug written on my forehead.
They chose me I suppose as a widow. They befriended me & I was taken in, told myself I am a fool but not going to get any money back or the 5 jobs that they started but not finished done.
I could do with advice & a friendly chat. Anyone out there able to help. Thank you

I was very lucky , only in the last few weeks to realise what was about to happen and managed to put a stop to it before money changed hands..
My advice for the future is some thing suggested to me ...
Any would be trader no matter what the work tell them
that the job and prices for everything have to be listed so it can go on to an solicitor relative for release of funds.
If they are genuine they will do this , but these con artists will disappear quickly. When there's a chance of a check up. .
Do hope you start to feel positive soon .....We are in an unenviable situation as elderly ladies living alone , but you know the old saying .........if it seems too good to be true ..it usually is .....

Thankx for your in put but I feel that at my younger age I should of known better, I was always telling my 62 year old Sister to be careful then I do the opposite. What I miss is a man around to stop things like this happening, my Brother in Law came a few times but due to work he left me 2 it. I did have MUG written on my forehead & I have 5 jobs that they started finished, but other company's will not touch it. I also want my living room re papered, but my trust in trades persons as gone.
