Lacking space now I have a 4' x 2' board in my shed with a single track line round the outside and a field with a travelling fairground in the centre. A lot of the items, old cars etc were gleaned from markets, boot sales etc, so with green felt and glue and lichen and bark for rocks bushes trees etc.It is surprising what you can find and make.
It is an ongoing thing. I've also built up a model village with a pond, and streets of tiny china houses mostly a few pence each from Charity shop shelves. Visiting children love them and so do I!! I can't wait to go out and start searching again!.
I like to knit.
I can do a basic crochet stitch and would like to learn more now that I'm retired...when lockdown is over
I love to make bobbin lace and would love to hear from any lacemakers out there.

I am 60 yrs old and for the first time ever, used a sewing machine about eighteen months ago. I had never seen one used. I didn't even know that the machine sewed from underneath too! (bobbin ha ha). However, my friend encouraged me as I thought it might be a nice new hobby. Indeed it was-I have had endless hours of fun with my bargain basic machine bought from a well known German owned discount shopping store..
When lockdown happened, it was a fab to pass so many hours looking on Youtube at the many, many contributors teaching how to make so many different things, from small projects to garments. Last year, our local school did free adult classes and one was sewing. This is where I progressed from making home crafts to actually making myself clothes! Never in a million years did I imagine that!
I also crochet, (quite well really, after all these years) and have made many, many garments etc.
I belong to a sewing club and we make handbags well any sort of bags!! Toilet try, make up , shopping totes ,evening bags, messenger bags, beach bags my friends call me the bag lady.
I just finished making cushion covers for my lounge and my daughters , just trying to keep busy . I retired six years ago seniorsocial worker in Local deaf community my sign name was “baker” .
I enjoy crafting too. I do knitting and crochet.
