not so much a problem as glich, that you may already be aware of....apple suddenly, out of the blue, requested i answer security questions after i tried to download a book to my ipod, i've now locked myself out of the ipod because i couldn't remember the answers i'd given apple years ago even though they should be obvious....i now need to request a 'rescue emai' to reset the security questions, but have to find my ipod id (did i make one?) which requires me to create a new password....i went on an apple customers forum (i am the queen of forums) and even the kids can't work this out (love the language of frustration going on there lol) so much hassle involved ( that i have yet to solve), to create a simple e-mail, to reset my security settings. thought i'd give others the heads up just in case it happens to them...grrrrrr mrs angry

My Sony all in one computer won't switch on. Any idea who could fix it please? The problem is with the switch. This has been ongoing for several years it just wouldn't shut down. I've had to switch off manually from the wall plug. I haven't been able to use it at all now, and a replacement is too expensive. Using this Samsung tab 2.7inch is good but typing the letters etc is a little trying!! Any suggestions? Regards Mary.

Hello Tears of.
Sorry to be so long replying. Do I gather that you have solved the problem being able to reset your security questions ?
I agree that it is very confusing, especially when it comes to your Apple ID, which, as you say, is usually your normal e-mail address. But then it will ask you for a password and this is NOT your email password.
I certainly think it is a good idea to have an additional email address. I use a Gmail address, which is easy to create. Also you can get more information from Apple by browsing (on an Ipad or from another computer) to https://appleid.apple.com. I hope this helps. If not, please get back to me via this Forum or the link suggested by Admin above :-*

further news.... after much searching and filling out of email forms it seems that i can't change my security answers via an email. this is because i didn't advise apple of a rescue email address when i registered my ipod! apple info is ambiguous to say he least.....so now i have to contact their support team by phone....why not say 'if you didn't set up another email address when you registered your ****** please phone xxxxxxxx , think that may be too easy..... your ipod id is actually the email address apple send your receipts to when you make a purchase (why not say this?) perhaps i'm to impetuous..... 😳
