Dummies

What is your view on dummies for babies or toddlers. If you are not very keen on them, would you express your view to your daughter or daughter-in-law?

I have a 7 month old Grandson and my daughter in law uses the dummy, I don't say anything to her but I have told my son specially now as the baby is crawling and making sounds, something he cannot do with a dummy in his mouth.

I wouldn't mention it to a new mum...…..I would never interfere with my daughters bringing up their babies, as I would not have wanted it either. However if they ask for advice, that's a different story.

I think dummies are fine as long as they are used to comfort the baby and are not in their mouth all the time.
