Just spotted this one .. I have had experience from family and myself also have been in further education
Some forms of dyslexia can be helped when reading by purchasing 4 or 5 colours of acetate translucent A4 sheets from online or stationers. I found with students that the yellow sheet was the most popular.
If using a computer, change the font colour and also the background colour until you find a combination to suit. The yellow background with a mid-blue font colour was the most popular, I worked in a workshop situation and always used this combination of colours on signs and posters which were for information only rather than legal requirement signage.
I have found people so happy that they could read without help. This really can help self-esteem

Not Dyslerxic myself but My Husband was, and my daughter is. Gained a lot of experience in dealing with it!!!!
