My sister used to live in Braintree, and that was the first place I visited in Essex. I lived in Cornwall, then after 15 years I left which was the greatest mistake of my life and I don't know if I will ever get over it. I love being near water, so usually, live near sea or lakes. I lived in Clacton area, not far from the sea, but after a year, I was still missing Cornwall. Then I went over to Spain where my sister lived. I didn't like where she had her place, as it was almost devoid of any history but I called my Granddaughter who was on her GAP year and she joined me and off we went......... my sister, asked "how are you going to travel?" and I said by bus and coach its so cheap and she said "People Die in Coaches". So my darling Granddaughter and I went off to take our chances with the coach trips and railways.What a wonderful Country Spain is it has lovely people, beaches, and the some of the most historic and beautiful Cities in the world. We were there for ten months then my Granddaughter had to go back so we took in France, a few mountain villages where we stayed for 6 weeks at a time. Eventually ended up in Paris, my favourite City. Good job Hitler loved Paris and so didn't bomb it to bits as he did to London. I have ended up in the country of my forebears Eire. It is a beautiful country with friendly people, weather as unpredictable as the UK, and I intend to stay until I get the travel bug again, maybe I will stay, or maybe.........................................??????
