Friendship

Hello my name is Denise and I live in Stockport.

I am 67 years of age and last year lost my best friend and love of my life to a brain tumour. He was a fabulous kind caring man who looked after me so much. I've had to learn to pay bills. Close the business and sell the car.

It's the loneliness that is the hardest to come to terms with. Not helped by the lockdown. Both daughters live in other parts of the country.

Looking for friendship and maybe holidays in the future. Most of my friends still have their OH.

I worked Manchester city centre for a firm of solicitors. PA to senior partner. Then PA to child psychiatrist until I retired in2014.

Hope that gives a good insight into my life.

Look forward to hearing from you

Regards Denise

Hi There Denise
Although I live in Canada, I can relate to your situation and thought I would let you know that you’re not the only person feeling that social distancing is impacting negatively on life at this very moment. I took early retirement from the Ontario Ministry of Education retiring in 2010. I am new to this site so have not had much of an opportunity to respond to those writing about their current situation or for that matter, any other topics. I live in downtown Toronto on Lake Ontario and it’s a nice day out there, bright and sunny with no wind, so I’ll be out for a long walk along the Lake after coffee today.
Cheers,
Anna
