FWB relationships - what are your views?

What do people think of "friends with benefits" arrangements? Do they work? Do you think there is anything wrong with them?

nothing wrong with them and yes they do work ,I have a friend I've known 3 years ,he lives with his disabled brother in another county wont ever get married as he says he's marriage material
suits me as I've been treated badly from all men in my life and have no wish to even live with anyone
we only see each other at the weekends obviously the virus stopped all that but we email every day
and the benefits are really good so works for me

I'm up for chatting. Life gets very lonely living alone and Coronavirus doesn't help.

Totally agree with you. We don't know what's around the corner, so enjoy life to the full. If you can find a friend to be with for trips or gigs etc. Then I'm all for it too.

I'd love one. I go to rock music weekends usually with my mate and his girlfriend. Bit I become the third wheel frequently. Be nice to have a female friend to partner up for events. Would balance the situation and have fun at the same time.

Been there and done that for a while in the past. As long as both parties involved understand the ground rules and enter in to a FWB relationship as equals with both parties knowing what is acceptable and what is not then why not. It can be very satisfying (no pun intended) arrangement. Needs talking through first though.

Sociable FWB is perfect for me. I don't at this point want LTR or strings attached.

I had one for a bit. It was pretty successful for a time. I was a workaholic but still starved for a physical relationship. We met a couple of days a week. It ended because he was retired and needed more attention than I could give at the time. We did remain friends afterward.

I think, if they work, why not? It needs both people to agree on it of course though.

I know nothing about the "friends with benefits" so tell me more. I did learn about ghosting and it's an awful thing. Mean and thoughtless.

What could be wrong with having any form of friend and if as indicated it is with benefits for all parties why not!
