Hellooo I'm a newbie

I've just joined so thought I would say hello.. and I wish a warm welcome to the other newbies.

I'm looking for a traveling companion and new friends as it appears I'm the only single person I know in my circle of all married or tied up friends! And they now forget I'm here....

So I've bitten the bullet let's see what Happens! Things can only get better in the social circle stakes. I love the sea and the country way of life..

Don't spend enough time in either but I'm always outdoors.. Just not in the right location!

Looking forward to hearing from any other single surfers who are tired of Going it Alone!

Hi Frascati. I know what you mean it's not nice being single when all your friends are in couples. I too am a newbie though looking at the date on your post you're not so much of a newbie anymore. I joined earlier this month (July 2019)
I joined this site to meet some new friends. How has your experience been so far?

Hello,

I joined the site some time ago but really struggled and still struggle with the way it works ; seems very complicated!

That aside I too am looking for a female travel companion for friendship. Are you a walker or cyclist?

Best wishes
Jacqueline

Hi I too have found it difficult to navigate. Like yourself would like a travel companion unfortunately not in to cycling but like to keep fit and healrhy, like to have fun, I get out now and then days out shopping, dinner a few drinks, the odd wine bar evening. Recently went to a rum and reggea festival which was great. I have a close knit family which is great but most friends are in relationships, oh didn't mentioned was divorced a couple of years ago, anyway it would be great to chat

I hope to find a travel companion for USA Coast to coast by rail, Sep 12th 2019.
My current companion on this booking has cancelled due to back problems. Great Rail Journeys USA Coast to coast Sep 12th - 30th. Do you like the look of the itinerary? I am male, age 72, healthy, NS, with a young outlook. Wife not as interested in travel as I am. Slightly prefer female as I grew up with 3 sisters, but also happy with straight male companion. We can meet to ensure no mega-incompatibility. Let me know if you need more information; I really don't fancy doing this trip alone. Thanks.

Hi Frascati, I have seen your post and relate to all that you say and wish for. However, scrolling through I don't appear to be able to see if you've yet said what part of the country you are in. I am on the Surrey/Hampshire border. Looking forward to hearing if you are anywhere near me.

Hello and welcome. Although I joined this site almost a year ago, I got busy with other things and have only just returned to it so I don't know my way round on here at all. As someone else asked, what part of the country are you in?

I appreciate your situation only too well and hope that you find friends who are local to you. Good luck!!
