Hi folks.....new to the site

Hello everyone! I am in my 60's and live in N. Ireland. I am a retired teacher and love to holiday with Jack, my husband, in Spain and CYPRUS. We had a house there for 7+ years prior to Jack's retirement, but had to sell it or move there.....owing to ongoing heat probs and having two very elderly parents we stayed in N. Ireland. We have 2 adult daughters living in England with their families....we are never off aeroplanes hopping over to visit. I regularly visit a CYPRUS forum and look forward to chatting here. Bye for now! X

Hi Kapparis - I'm new to the site too - so I'm just finding my way around. I'm living in Cardiff, Wales and I wouldn't say that I'm hopping on planes all the time, but with my daughter, who, like you, is a teacher, we visit a couple of times a year. She took up a teaching post on Alderney, one of the Channel Islands, 5 years ago so we enjoy our visits there. It's a lovely little island and the pace of life is very chilled, so we usually come home refreshed and relaxed.

I have also just joined SS'ers. Happily married (but a bit of flirting makes me feel wanted 🙂 ) Lots of hobbies, the latest being the ukulele, I play in a band. Ex engineer and It professional, been retired for ages now. My sense of humour is not always appreciated, but I mean well.
