Hi from Canada!
Watch this postI've just joined this forum. I live in Alberta, Canada where we have very cold Winters but lots of sunshine. I've travelled quite a bit and I've lived in UK, France, Angola and Canada. I'm only a few years off retirement and I am looking to meet people with similar life experiences. I'm agnostic, I am interested in art, travel, the great outdoors and a good book. I am not a hippy but I am tired of the consumerist world we live in where we are constantly force-fed commercials every 5 mins (if you live in North America, you will know what I mean). I am also disheartened by all political parties as they only give us the illusion that we have a say on how countries are governed and I am particularly very saddened by recent events in the US that are dragging the country back 70 years into the past. I am recently divorced (not looking to make THAT mistake again 🙂 ), I am a positive person, I don't like to whinge and I think life is too short to waste time feeling sorry for yourself. Looking forward to striking up a good conversation 🙂

I know Alberta reasonably well as my ex wife's parents lived in Edmonton and I travelled often with and without her to visit them and to travel to one or two towns and cities between 1992 and 2004, we divorced in 2006 and I haven't been back to Edmonton since
