Hiking the Canary Island

I'm really into hiking so I decided to search some places I've never been before and this actually got my attention. I found an article to a place in Spain called Canary Island https://www.canaryislandsinfo.co.uk/lanzarote/things-to-do/timanfaya-national-park/ and many people have been going here to hike. Actually, the place has many activities to offer like water sports and trekking, I was planning to make a trip here next year to experience the island myself. Do you guys have any suggestions or advice regarding the place? It would be a great help. Thanks!

Hello CortezD,
You sound like a Spanish speaker! First I should say I've never been to the Canary Islands, so have no first hand experience of any of them, you mention them in the singular, but there are 7 or 8 at least, Lanzarote is very popular with us Brits for sun, sand and entertainment, not so much hiking, but I'm sure there's plenty of that too. There's a site called spain-holiday.com which has a page entitled. Canary islands, the difference between the islands, that will point you in the right direction. La Gomera is a small island well known for hiking, you'll need a ferry to get there, I think, but is quite beautiful.
Happy hiking!
David
