How handy are tablets?

It seems that today the tablet, has or is over taking the laptop, and I can easily understand how simple it is to use these things, my family and I have tablets, and find that its easier to sit in an arm chair and simply scroll or search the internet, virtually do anything , looking back in time its amazing just how far all this technology has taken us, and as for the future , well its mind boggling to say the least. its a long way from the simple red telephone boxes that used to be found on street corners. almost everyone has a phone in the pocket or handbag and smart phones can virtually compete with the laptop, well almost ,

I have recently purchased an iPad-pro
I must that this is a fantastic piece of kit ,
I have been using iPads since Steve jobs
First introduced them , and I must that they
Just keep getting better,

I have an 85 year old mother ' who since she
Started using one of my old Apple iPads'
Has had a new lease of life
Until about 3 years back she didn't get out
Much or have a great deal of interest in
Most things
Now with an iPad at hand she is in contact
With me and my 5 brothers and sisters
All over the country
To me the iPad is a truly great invention
And with the face-time app
Our technology keeps getting better
Who knows what's on the horizon .

I have all 3 smart phone tablet and laptop and I can honestly say I use all of them loads. There are some things I prefer doing on laptop like email and facebook the main reason is that I can select loads of email at the same time to delete or store etc. the same with Facebook I can mark them all as read because I have usually seen them all on my phone. I don't really have a favourite.
