Imperial currency
Watch this postI never did get over decimalization in 1971.....a black day indeed, since our quaint LSD had so much going for it. The obvious choice for a unified currency system was the twelve shilling pound. But now, with inflation having taken its toll, why not revalue the pound? Have a Newpound (NP) worth 100s, or £5. Abolish the penny/pence/pee, which nobody ever liked (after all this time there's still no consensus) the base unit becomes the shilling. For once the elderly don't get shafted, since fifteen shillings really IS 15/- again....likewise 30 bob is once again...well, thirty bob. It means that a pound is worth something again, as well. Obviously there's no chance it will ever happen, but the idea is, I suggest, sound.
