John Lewis Xmas Advert

Did you feel that the message in this advert was to put the old people in a place out of the way, but let them see how everyone is having a good time.

Use the advert time to make a cup of tea instead of watching them!

I like the advert and song that goes with it, think it makes you stop and think of all the lonely people young and old in the world today

Everyone is talking about this ad, I'm yet to see it. Been told it is quite depressing and brings a tear to your eye...well that's pretty much like their customer service dept these days.

Hello Sukura ... if you want to see it, we have it in the following Silversurfers feature: https://www.silversurfers.com/culture/television-culture/best-christmas-adverts/ 🙂

No I didn't and I think it's a shame that it is perceived in such a way, although I understand why. I think it is about reaching out and making contact with those who are alone - where it went wrong is with the ending. Much better had the man in the moon joined the family.
