Just joined so I'm introducing myself
Watch this postHello everyone. I'm Jen 64, I live in Essex. I have 3 adult children, who are all busy with their lives & I rarely see them.
I recently had a house fire & lost everything, I got emergency accommodation just before lockdown. So things are not too good at the moment.
I've been agorapgobic for 12 years & can only go out with someone, have a fear of going out alone. Due to health issues years back I lost touch with my friends, so am hoping to make new friends. I used to have a fun busy life, but not these days. I am creative, so can always find something to sew, make, or do in my spare time, but although keeps me busy it doesn't replace chatting to someone of similar age about every day things etc. Looking forward to joining in some of the chats.

I thought as this was targeted at the over 50's it would be a more suitable place to join.
I was so wrong.
I have looked back through posts & see it has happened to others too. There is just a few that seem to have conversation among themselves, but thats it.
Maybe who ever runs this website could make improvements, as it could be good.
There are many other active threads in the general Forum, so you may want join in with one of those as well.
