Long distance relationship in lockdown

Do you think a long distance relationship can survive lockdown and after, particularly when you are in different tiers and still cannot meet?

Hi! A long distance relationship is a challenge and does not always work. It could be complicated but if you get to know someone trustful with whom you can establish a real connection, it worths trying. I am a woman (59) and I met a man (64) on an online dating site (a trustful one). He lives in the US and I live in another country in Central America. At the beginning we just write emails. We both ask lots of questions, and get to know more about each other. We did that for Two months and then we decided we should meet on WhatsApp and do video chat. With Covid, we knew we couldn’t travel, so we just kept on chatting. We definitely had a connection and we both liked each other. So then after a few months, when Traveling was eased, he decided to come and meet me in my country. It was awesome….instant attraction. He came back to his country and now I will visit him in August. Now we are going to the next level in the relationship and we are thinking about getting married by the end of the year. He met my family, they liked him a lot. I will meet his fami,y in August, and Im sure it will be fine. So….a long distance relationship can work but you should be able to meet a few months after. And the most important is to ask the right questions and to communicate a lot, to know if there is a real connection and attraction.

My long distance relationship (100 miles) did not survive. Health issues and concerns both arose and after 4 years, it came to an abrupt and unexpected end.

Thanks and it is real life and the distance is over 100 miles. Unfortunately support bubbles cannot be allowed between different tiers
