Looking for an adventurous back packing travel partner for 3-4 months

Hi, just joined this site . I am a 63 yr young female retired teacher from Ontario looking to strap on my backpack and just go. I am very active, cycle, hike, kayak, canoe and it would be great to travel with someone just as energetic. I also enjoy my down time and space, would be respectful of yours as well. I have just recently relocated to the Toronto area so if you live here or close by and looking to head off for a couple months, let me know. Life is one big adventure!!

Hi Travel17.

Sounds like a lot of fun, however based on the posting date, I am probably a little late. I live in Windsor, Ontario, am married and retired, however my wife still works (workaholic type), which
leaves me with a lot of free time. I would love to see more of this beautiful country with dreams of sailing from Lake St. Clair to the Atlantic, driving across Canada, hiking the West Coast Trail, and the list goes on. I am fit, energetic and would like to discuss travel, hiking, cycling etc. with you.

I have just joined SilverSurfers and am basically stumbling around the website. It's kinda like walking into a very dark room that you know has people in it. You can't hear them or sense them, but you know they are there. So you start talking anyway, not knowing at all if you are talking to yourself 🙂

I am in the UK, but let me explain what I am looking to do. I have traveled widely mostly by bicycle...and lived in Central America for 16 months in my 20's.....I have never been to India or Nepal and would love to do that now (aged 58) or soon anyway. I'm not into the water sports but do a lot of walking and cycling. I guess it's not ideal as meeting up to get to know each other and plan would be tricky...there is always skype though...
