Looking for friends to chat with

Hi, I am working from home and will be for at least the next 6 months. My husband is retired so we spend a lot of time together except when he goes fishing so long for a change of topics to discuss.

I miss the general chit chat in the office so looking for others to chat with.

I am on the Lincs East Coast and enjoy dog walking as we have adopted a rescue bull terrier and also going out for breakfast and lunch on occasions although not as much as we used to due to the current circumstances.

Hi Suesan,

Just saw your post. I too will be working from home for the next 6 months I expect and I have been since the lockdown in March.

You do miss the office chit chat and face to face contact. I wasn't in the office full time, as I am part time and not always office based but it was nice to catch up with people. The contact on Teams or Zoom is not quite the same is it?

Lucky you for living near the coast and you have a dog to keep you active. I agree it is good to get out for walks and fresh air. I do too, I am in the south east of the UK.

What sort of things did you chat about in the office? I miss going out to eat and having a coffee whilst visiting a place of interest or a browse around the shops. (Now though, since the virus I feel we spent too much money on commodities and I think I will be less likely to keep buying new things again, unless a need).

Skegness and Chapel St. Leonards come to mind! Been to your coastline a few times.
