Looking for like minded ladies to chat...

My name is David. I am 65 and I live in Georgia. I am a retired construction contractor. I am now into a private business that keeps me pretty laid back and closer to my grandson who lives about 25 mi away with his paternal grandmother. My life is simple and I try to be honest blunt to the people I come across both in my private life and line of work.

Please comment if you care for a chat. God bless you all!

Hey David!! Hope your well and surviving covid, apparently theres more available vaccines then people now, which is good to hear, maybe that will make way to a "mask-less" summer.Im so sick of wearing that thing lol..It was nice to see Georgia, didnt think there was any one from the states...a little embarassed to admit it,but I was fully registered before I realized this was a UK site,I wasnt recognizing the locations of people,so when I saw you from Ga,I jumped!lol I will be hitting the milestone of 65 in sept.not thrilled life seems to evaporate, especially loosing this last pandemic year! I live in the chicago land area, always been a mid-west girl, but I love south except the heat, adore new orleans been there a few times, and I believe Atlanta a couple of times many years ago.I like to think of myself as a writer, gotten minor things published though out the years, first one telling a animal abuser off at age nine,Im a big animal lover.I"m currently writing my memoir on past experiences, and its a big undertaking, looking to have a 65th birthday goal to finish,as a gift to myself.Getting published, well here's "HOPING!" I enjoy oldies music, singing, movies, way too addicted to netflix/Hulu,and lifetime, reading bios, talking about travels and places visited, and basically chatting with kind, caring people with big hearts on almost every subject. If this book I just wrote you...sorry so long ..interests you lets chat, during our current times we can all use a new friend! stay safe! Hello Debby,

First, allow me to apologize for not being able to respond to you soon enough. Why? I have been busy with a private business I run from the comfort of my home.  Oh yes, most of the folks here are from the UK. I too didn't notice until I was fully settled in. But I have interacted with some nice friends here. Nothing to regret at all.

I can be busy, but because I work from home, I do have plenty of time to keep up emailing and chatting. So of course we can chat more and get to know each other better.Where in Chicago are you? I am already 65 and Congratulations to you my friend. lol.

I like to cook, garden, fix stuff around the house. I enjoy oldies music as well. I can do a little dancing here and there. Haha So you like writing huh? I used to be into  construction before retirement.
I live alone, but usually my 7 years old grandson comes to visit me during weekends.

Well Debby, again sorry for my late response, and always feel free to write to me or better let's chat and talk more.

Have a wonderful evening and thanks for reaching out.

Yours truly,
David

Hi David, have recently joined and would love to chat as looking to make new friends. I’m 66 and recently retired and waiting to do all the things I originally planned, but at the moment lockdown has put paid to that, so will just have to wait a bit longer. Hope to maybe hear from you

Hi flojojo,
So for my late response. I have been busy the past days. How are you doing today? I have had my first vaccine already and will have the last next week.
I am hopeful that the lock down will soon go away as well as covid-19, so we can all return to living our normal lives. I am open to chatting as well. Please let me know when you can be online.

Best wishes,
David

Hi David, thank you for your reply, lovely to hear from you. I to have had my first vaccine at the beginning of the month and have been told it could be up to 12 weeks for the second. I’m sitting in my lounge window as I write this and looking at the sea, my house is literally across the road from a beach and the sun is shining which makes all the difference. We have been in what they call a Tier 4 lockdown which has been really tough, no seeing anyone, no travelling etc., which I totally understand, but it is hard when it comes to not seeing family, plus I also retired in November, which was not good timing on my part and am at a bit of a loss at times as to what to do. I hope that we can become friends, I would like that very much and hope to hear from you soon. What are your plans for Easter, that is if you celebrate it. By the way my name is Jocelyn. Take care and stay safe, Jocelyn x

Hi Jocelyn,
Thanks for reaching out this morning. I have been expecting to hear from you. 🙂

I too have had my first shot( PfiZer) last week and it takes 2 more weeks for me to get the final shot.
Some folks are complaining of side effects. But mine has been different. No side effects.
Where in the UK do you live? I have been to London and few other cities for business and vacation in the past.
The lock down will soon go away. At least I hope soon. I know you people in the UK have been on series of total lock down. Am I right? Oh wow! I am planning on buying a house by the lake or close to the ocean. Though I am yet to decide where exactly.
I am also retired from a career as a contractor. But I run a private business from the comfort of my home keeps be active and on the go sometimes.
Easter? I planned on having my grandson with me. I used to have him every holiday and weekend before Covid-19. I am originally from Israel, but a christian. Most of my families live in Haifa. A port city in Israel.
Of course let's be friends. I think there is a chat feature on this site that we can use to instant chat. If you care for a little chat I will send you a text now.
Today I am staying home to do laundry and clean the house. This week has been a busy one for me.
I hope you are having a wonderful day.

Yours truly,
David
