Marriage allowance on elderly couples

Not many know about this that couples born on after 1935 can get a 10% allowance from the lower person to the higher person which can relate to £200 reduction in personal tax. Check the link I am posting https://www.gov.uk/apply-marriage-allowance. You can apply online to them and you may qualify for that tax reduction.

Hi I have just joined Silversurfers and I am due my old age pension on July 6th. I know that I have to apply for it 4 months before, but what I really want to know is does this mean that I will have a lesser amount that month it not being a full month. Also is it paid in arrears?

Try the Government web site.Prior to retiring I worried but the neccessary paperwork arrived I completed it and all was fine.
