Moving Home alone.....and to another part of the country. Knowing where to go/choose.

I am in the situation of wanting to move. But where to.....I could go closer to family which would be fine, but I want more adventures in life.

I enjoy people. I am 64, gregarious and love life at every turn. Even the bad turns have had their positive moments. So......where do I move to? I have moved and travelled a lot in a lifetime. You would think that I would know where my passions lie, but my decision to come and live in a rural community was about thirty years too early. I'm just not ready for it. I realise now that retirement is merely a word and I never intend to stop doing what I love to do.

It's just that we don't always know or realise what makes us buzz, do we? I enjoy people too much and although I love where I live - the air is pure, the views are stunning, the silence is golden, but I have to admit that what I really miss in life are people. In all shapes and sizes. So..........I came up with an idea of having my cake and eating it.

I wanted to find somewhere in the U.K. where I would really enjoy living. I like to have a taste of people - not all of the time, but need the buzz of the city to counteract where I am living at the moment. So - I cat sit. I go into people's homes and look after their cats - for free. I talk cat language and it enables me to travel to all sorts of places and live in all sorts of homes and meet all sorts of lovely felines (who are on the same wavelength as me) .

I have the added bonus of being in a town or city where I can EXPLORE. It's fantastic.

A win win situation. So......if you are having a dilemma like this in life. Think about what you want.......and how to go about it so that you can really - have your cake and eat it. I've been solving problems like this for years.
