Watch this postHello everyone - I loved the look of this website and forum so I joined = but I notice you are UK based (love the UK). Does it matter that I am from the states?
My name is Carol - I just finished my teaching job this morning - just part-time as I am officially retired from being an attorney. But it took quite a bit of my time and since like most everyone else, I am Covid homebound, and thought getting to know some new people would be a really good way to fill some time.
Definitely would love to have some chats with interesting, pleasant people. I'm going to look around and try to figure my way through this site. I am looking forward to some good conversations.
Just to start it off, I am entranced watching the impeachment trial of my former quite horrible president. I am a very open-minded person, but Trump fans need not reply.
I hope the Senate does the United States Justice - the impeachment managers are making a very compelling case against Trump but politics being politics, I'm not sure it will do much good. I hope I am not violating any policies talking politics - if so, I will refrain from here on in. look forward to talking with some of you.

I too am newly retired. I live in Arizona and would like to find someone around my age that has similar interests/views and maybe would like to travel sometime.
I am married, but my husband is still working. He likes to travel, but not as much as I do.
I am 59 years old, do not have children of my own, but I do have step-sons.
I am pretty active, like to stay in shape, cook, read and ty new things.

Do you have a preferred way of travelling?
I generally like the cruising experience on the nicer ships, but holy moly that would seem to be an extreme adventure these days.... Jerry
