New member in USA and not totally sure how this works
Watch this postI'm new at online chatting and a little skeptical but thought I give it a try. I'm 67 and live in Chandler, Arizona in the US (near Phoenix). I'm just looking for a little company and thought I'd see what's out there. Although I'm somewhat computer literate (I teach online), I'm still amazed my phone takes photos. I see a "Kodak" moment and forget to pull out my phone:) Anyway, hello.

I was widowed nearly 10 years ago and have lived alone since though never really felt it till 2020 - hasn't it been a nightmare! Who knew something we can't even see could bring the world to its knees.
I , like you, am new to this online stuff and only started in December and am just computer savvy enough to write little notes.., though what to write to a complete stranger poses more of a problem...:)

i have never joined a chat room before, either, but hopefully this will prove to be a good experience. Where in USA do you live? I am living in southern Mississippi--where its hot and humid most of the time. I am glad its winter so there are cooler days. I am retired, 63 years old and spend most of my time babysitting 2 of my 6 grandchildren.
I am new to this too. Have you been able to reply to posts, yet?

What do you teach online? I am a retired elementary teacher--had some good years, some bad years and some awesome years teaching. I loved it when "my kids" would have their ah-ha moments! Reading and Language Arts were my fav subjects to teach. I don't really miss the whole system of public education, but I sometimes miss the interaction with the kids. Do you enjoy teaching online?
