New member stopping by to say Hello

Hi, another newbie saying hello, currently living in Norfolk and working full time in financial services but trying to redress the work life balance and make time for my hobbies of travel and photography. Would love a simpler lifestyle and get rid of the stress! Joined to chat with like minded people. In two years time I would love to be in a little cottage in the Scottish Highlands, out and about with my camera - They say an idea becomes a plan when you put it in writing, so hear goes!

Hi Carol,

I'm in Norfolk too, and still working! I know what you mean about work life balance, I have been self employed for the last eight years, it is either feast or famine!

I joined a Red Hatters group to get to know more ladies in the area, as working all the time, usually in other parts of the country, I wasn't making any local connections. I'm off in a moment to meet a group of ladies dressed in red and purple at 12, for lunch, so that should be fun!

I think you have a great idea - Live in a little cottage in the Scottish Highlands and enjoy the gorgeous countryside. I am about speechless when I look at photos of the Highlands. I will go there one day! There is a great book titled “Write It Down, Make It Happen.” I tried that 10 years ago and ended up in Maine. It works!
