Watch this postHi all just moved and finding life near a city quite hard to get used to, even if it is a small city, York, finding new neighbours reserved after old village and as partner works long hours find myself quite lonely, any helpful suggestions? Been here 3 month trailed around and find it lonelier than the moor top!

Our Silversurfers community is designed to foster friendships, based on trust, honesty, integrity and loyalty and is underpinned by these values.
We don't tolerate swearing, and reserve the right to remove any posts which we feel may offend others... let's keep it friendly!
Look out for U3a classes. Not generally intense, where I go it's more a chat while doing something I enjoy (cross stitch).
Usually have a variety of classes. Look up on internet should have a website or ask at the library.
York is a lovely city and must have lots of opportunities of things to do, I find the library a good source of information as to what's going on locally.
