I'm new here too and it seems awfully quiet. I wonder if we should try posting our interests? Mine are English history & heritage, Tonkinese cats, caravanning, reading widely, listening to music [from Handel to the Beatles, Elgar to Al Stewart, Bing Crosby to Gilbert & Sullivan,] Postcrossing, Geocaching, walking, [especially canals & disused railways,] cooking and eating out, chatting on Facebook, - to name but a few... ๐Ÿ™‚ How about you?

Hi Dancerupstairs! Thanks for your reply. Tonkinese cats are half Siamese & half Burmese. They are quite vocal and very friendly and rather rule the roost here. ๐Ÿ™‚ Postcrossing is a hobby which involves the random sending/receiving of postcards all over the world [see Postcrossing.com] We started walking seriously when we bought Fitbits earlier this year and started logging foods and trying to lose weight. I actually reached my goal weight this week to much rejoicing and cheesecake all round ๐Ÿ™‚ I have a Clavinova piano but little skill, sadly. Dancing & writing poetry are things I have never attempted. I do love reading though - historical novels, chick lit, travelogues, popular science, classics, the more the merrier ๐Ÿ™‚ Oh, here is a link to my Facebook page as there doesn't seem to be a messaging system here yet. https://www.facebook.com/sue.munday.12
