Newbie - looking to chat with like-minded members

Hi Very nervous newbie here, never been on a chat room before but looking forward to making some friends so will give it a go.

I'm Jenny, 61 from Devon. Been on my own for a long time which suits me but would love to make some friends to chat about life's and downs. Interests are looking for bargains in the sales and looking after my grandkids.

Any advice as to how this site works would be much appreciated! Jenny

Hello Jenny. I have been on my own a while too and, like you, I am happy with that. But I would like to find friends to chat to and meet up with. If you find out how this site works can you let me know too?

Hello Jennygeo
I am new to this myself ,there seems to be a lot to take in with this site ,I suppose you have to start somewhere.
I have been on my own for a few years as well,i actually don't mind my own company but it is nice to have people to chat with,my son and daughter have left these shores my son is in Canada and my daughter is in Spain.
I love Golf ,I also play Bowls once a week and I also play chess.
Maybe as we are both newbies we could share info on this site as we go along.

Welcome JennyGEO to silver surfers, Silversurfers is a friendly site and you just need to find topics that interest you and then add your comments or if you find someone you would like to chat to you can set up a private chat, lots of features if you are good at photography you can upload for others on the site to see (I’m not much good at getting stunning photos but it’s lovely to see so many talented people there are on the site.
