It depends. You have to be careful. People can say anything about themselves, most not true

Not sure if you can believe in online relationships but you can experience them as I have had a couple over the years .... one lasted 4yrs and we never met and other lasted 2yrs and we never met.
Basically we met online and remained online in friendship but I have heard of people I know marrying people they met online or dating them .... it seems to quite likely that they can meet that way as it is a common happening now.

Has just not happened to me fully ... smile

On the whole, relationships fall into several categories; depending on age and background they range from sexual, cultural, spiritual, educational and criminal amongst others. Online relationships must by virtue of their anonimity be based on trust and are in themselves generaly harmless, providing they are maintained at the same level. They can be helpful, supportive, informative and suggestive and are valuable in diminishing loneliness and isolation.
The determination of truthfullness on the other hand can, in my opinion only be ascertained by a combination of voice tone, body language, facial expression and eye contact, all impossible online. so for what it is worth be aware!

Not quite sure what you mean by on-line relationships, BichM! If you mean the type of friendships that a lot of us on Silversurfers have developed then they are great; we rarely meet up with our "friends" because we may live at opposite ends of the country or even in different countries but we still chat and exchange ideas and helpful comments etc. However, if you are talking about on-line dating then that's an entirely different subject and having had the personal experience of meeting several lying frogs who didn't turn into handsome princes when kissed, I'm not the best person to offer an opinion 🙂

Yes, it should have been lying toads but toads don't turn into princes when they are kissed .... and hope springs eternal 🙂

Hmmmm! Think you are right,Lochinvar I'm way too old for Harry and don't fancy the cultural differences of the Middle Eastern gentlemen 🙂 Frogs do look nicer than toads but are definitely few and far between in my neck of the woods.
I loved the caption on your angel - is she hiding her eyes in despair and thinking "Oh No! what is he doing now"? 🙂

That shows that your brain is still engaged in "teenage" mode - which is better than old fogey status!!! I wonder what BichM thinks of all these posts - probably thinks we are crackers 😉 🙂
