Good Morning everyone . I joined a while ago and because I must have used a password I was used to I did not write it down at the time . So as I was moving this took up lot of my time sadly I couldn’t remember it so I’ve been unable to do very much on here. So am trying again today .when it asks to change password it then asks you what the last one was and I dont know ? Ive sent numerous messages to the people that run this but nothing . So I’m asking your advice if you might know what to do .Or anyone else . I was really good at IT and anything to do with computers laptops mobiles etc but I think because moving is stressful + the Pandemic the one word I needed has escaped from my brain. .? Any help from would be greatly appreciated .Hoping Thankyou . I don’t know how I’ve managed to do this today ? Must be signed in ? Best wishes to everyone x We all need to talk . For whatever reason . I’m here if you do . If I can answer I will. Annyn46

Hi redskins...

Usually you have to set a recovery email address (or more recently, a phone number) for the email client to send you a password reset link to. Do you have another email account that you might have used this for? If so, you should be fine to reset the password. Try this: https://account.live.com/pw (microsoft have a resource here http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows/outlook/forgotten-password)

If you have ever logged in using chrome (googles browser - which is excellent, by the way) you can see all passwords you may have saved at some point by clicking the little menu icon in the top right (looks like 3 hotdogs), then settings, the show advanced settings (bottom of the page), then under the heading "Passwords and forms" click the link that says "manage passwords". Hopefully you'll find it saved in there. I'm sure the other browsers will let you see saved passwords too, but couldn't tell you off the top of my head! Just google "show saved passwords in [NAME OF YOUR BROWSER]"...

Hope that helps! Recovering your password has to be 100 times better than starting again from scratch and re-syndicating your email address!

Good luck, and let us know how you get on incase any others have this problem in the future!
