I am in my early 60s (how did that happen?!!), living for 3 decades with a partner who was recently diagnosed as being on the autism spectrum so life isn't easy.
I'm a mum, a stepmum, and, just recently, a new grandmother. I have had penpals years ago from all over the place when I was much younger and enjoyed hearing their news and about where they live.
I've a keen interest in France and French in general, my dog of course, and anything apart from politics! Hoping to hear from anyone! Ellen

As far as France goes, I have to be honest I have enjoyed the odd visit and admire their attitude, from what I have experienced, but know little more. Perhaps you can educate me?
A bit about me... I am a dad to four and a grandad to two with another on the way. Love being a grandad though can't believe I am. Gone are the days of grandad sat in the chair watching Saturday world of sport and saying or doing little out of routine.

Yes where do the years go and suddenly you have grandchildren. Mine's pretty quick on his feet and you have to have eyes in the back of your head. I like to think I'm giving my daughter a rest when she arrives with the Little One but I don't get much rest when he's around.
I find that with French people if you make an effort all goes well. The food, restaurants and scenery are amazing and well worth a visit. So much to see.
