Here's one for ya

If I had the power to turn back the clock
I'd Go back to that house at the end of the block

The house that was home when I was a kid
I know that I'd love it more now than I did

If I could be back there at my mothers knee
And hear once again all the things she told me
I'd listen as I never listened before
For she knew so well what life had in store

And all the advise my dad used to give
His voice I'll remember as long as I live
But it didn't seem really important then
What I'd give just to live it all over again

And what I'd give for the chance I once had
To do so much more for my mum and dad
I'd give them more joy and a little less pain
A little more sunshine and a little less rain

But the years roll on and we can not
Go back wether we were born in a
Mansion or shack

But we can start right now in the hour
That's here to do something more
For the ones we hold dear

Great! Thought I would add on.

If I could go back,
I'd stand up to the bullies in my life, and remove all of the strife...
If I could go back, I would undo all of the wrongs, and write countless country songs.
If I could go back, I would just be me, instead of being someone that others wanted me to be.
If I could go back, I would have made sure I got to kiss David Cassidy.
If I could go back, I would help others more.
If I could, but I can't, so I won't

I am new to silver surfers and hope this is the where I add a poem as follows. Title........Each New Day

The gales tearing at the trees
high waves upon the stormy seas,
from the fierce ravages of the windy storm
to the tranquil beauty the sun adorns.
Each day brings challenge for us to meet
each day a challenge we can defeat.
For as the storm brings wind and rain
we know the sun will shine again
to bring us peace and joy and rest.
So trust in God and you’ll be blest
no more to worry at the storm
you’re cares will surely drift away,
just as the sun brings life to all
each storm will pass with the new dawn.

With the Jesus on your side problems along life’s way are given over to Him and He will help you overcome any problems you may have. God bless. Keith
