Poppy wearing

Well done to England and Scotland for going against FIFA and wearing their poppies while playing. Now I hear that Wales have refused to wear the poppy in their match. I am ashamed to be part Welsh and my father would turn in his grave on hearing this. He went through the war with so many other Welsh men and we should respect these men and women and show how we care by wearing the poppy.

I agree with Paxton and Daisy. The Welsh footballers should hang their heads in shame. The poppy is worn as a sign of respect for all our armed forces who have lost their lives or who have been disabled physically and mentally whilst serving their country to make a safer world for us to live in. I read that the Welsh were scared that there would be some financial retribution by FIFA if they wore the poppy armbands. FIFA should get its own house in order before penalising anyone else!
