Prostate Cancer

My husband went to the GP in October and within the next three months he had MRI and biopsy only to find that he had cancer and in January had an op to remove his prostate. All this happened so quickly that we were a little shell shocked at the outcome. At the end of this month we will be going back for the results regarding the cancer found. I would like to say to everyone out there to get the test for prostate cancer, men, my husband had no symptoms! Ladies enourage your men to go and get it done! Also we cannot fault the treatment we have had from the NHS, the medical staff and their care was excellent.

One extra thought on my post: My husband is 59 yrsold, so prostate cancer is not an old mans problem, it's a thing that can happen to any man, at any age.

I've recently been diagnosed with cancer. After a routine check up with my GP he found several lumps on my penis. After the usual check on my prostate he found my prostate slightly enlarged but not too bad for a 63 year old.
He decided an ultrasound scan was ordered and, a few days later I had the scan. The results were inconclusive so a MRI and CT scan followed. The results showed a mass near or on the pelvis. After various other tests it was confirmed as cancer.
So if they are any men who have a health check coming up, don't miss or ignore it.
