What a re your views on the OXFAM disgrace

Do you remember collecting and donating to Oxfam?

I recall in the 1950s at my Roman Catholic Primary School being made to Collect Money for Black Babies. If I got enough money...£2/6d for filling up the card and giving in the money I had the privilege of NAMING the baby! How appalling...of course no one ever explained where these babies came from, and why I had had to get money to fill in my charity card.

Much later, when the Roman Catholic Church and the forbidden birth control scandal become public, I found out that my money was being used to feed black illegitimate and unwanted babies...I was devastated as a naive teenager...

Now...as an old lady I am equally devastated to be told that rape of the black babies/ children women who cannot feed children other than by being prostitutes ...with no condoms being affordable ...and by paedophiles who join charities working in NGOs in 3rd World Countries use their positions to do the same abuse...in these impoverished desperate countries...

So, have you a view? What could be done to get our charity money to the needy and not give it to the perverted sexual deviants?

I think the latest OXFAM revelation should be seen within context. and also note that allegations that underage girls may have been involved in sexual exploitation are, as yet, unproven. I believe it would be wrong to assume all charity workers helping in developing countries and in disaster areas are sexual predators. The few who have been found to abuse their position of trust, in what ever way, should be held to account for their actions but we should not tar everyone with the same brush.

Sexual exploitation of women is wrong and I would not condone such action, but I'm not sure a person using the services of a sex worker should be labelled as a perverted sexual deviant. I also believe the money we give to OXFAM and other charities is not then given purely to perverted sexual deviants,
