Ruptured Appendix, emergency operation, recovery

Hi I'm a 58 Year old fit and healthy lady who had keyhole surgery last Friday (13th) to remove appendix and clean up where it had burst.

Can anyone give any ideas on recovery time, a week later I'm still sore and find walking painful, I've been told not to drive until I can do an emergency stop and not to lift anything.

I'm guessing will be 2 weeks at least until some normal movement returns without pain. Thank you

I had my appendix removed at the age of 50. They attempted keyhole but once they discovered the state I was in, they had to open me up with an extended cut to deal with it. Before I went down I was thinking that once I'd come around, had tea and toast, that I'd be off home. I was in hospital quite I'll for 10 days. It was several weeks before I could get about normally and was kept off work for 10 weeks. I would imagine with just keyhole recovery should be much quicker.
Hope you feel better soon and just take things easy.
