Saying Hello

I'm Chris and I've just joined. I'm male and I'm 66. I retired last August and moved to live near Peterborough to live close to a new partner I'd met. Sadly our partnership has ended this Christmas and I'm having to deal with all the emotions of the breakup. I'm hoping to chat with anyone who may be in similar circumstances so that we may be able to give each other a little bit of understanding and comfort. Also I need to make some new friends because I haven't had a chance to do that since I only moved here fairly recently. Here's hoping.

Hi. I've just joined too. I'm 63 and have just got through another Christmas , my third one alone after being widowed and retired all at the same time. Just wonder if there are any folk in West Yorkshire?

Hope the Spring season might make it easier to get out and about and meet different people Chris, winter conditions are not really conducive to lifting mood or getting around easily. Any break up is difficult, and there are a whole raft of emotions to deal with; but most of us have been there and lived to tell the tale - Good luck

Sorry to hear your move did not work out. I know from experience that it is not always easy when you move to a new area. If you have any hobbies or interests try looking for local groups to join thats what I did, there are be plenty in your area.
